Temple Football Forever 
The Villanova game is such a critical yet pointless game, all at the same time.If Temple blows out Nova, people will barely notice and just think, "Well, that's what a Div 1 should do to a sub-division team, not a big deal.But if it is a close game, or God forbid, we lose, "Well, it's just a typical Temple team." The season ends right there.I will be in the stands, hopefully, watching a meaningless blowout of Nova. I hope 'Daz' understands the signifcance of this blowout.
I hope Daz understands how much we hate Villanova for its smugness and the Big East for ignoring what Temple can bring to the table now that the program is in good hands. Hopefully, he will take this game personally because 35 thousand people will show up and 32K Temple fans will take it seriously and the 3K Villanova fans I assume will take it seriously. This needs to be a Roman Coliseum game. When it gets to halftime and Temple is holding 30, Daz turns to the stands and gives the thumbs up followed by the thumbs down and shrugs his shoulders. All 32K Temple fans then gives him the thumbs down, the sign for killing the Villanova beast with a 50-point second half.
Addazio still has alot of work to do to get my trust back after the UCONNgate thing, but he did a fantastic job representing us in front of a national audiance.Thanks for clearing up the 19 vs 13 thing, i was a bit confused.(Oh, and his response to no longer recruiting players who will play in the NFL was HILLARIOUS!)
I like how he downplayed Golden. Daz is right, we had Arians, Hardin, even Pop Warner, long before Golden.TFF I would love to see that game you imagined. Heck, even in rugby, we hated Nova.
TFF,before our cup runneth over, and before we all starting drinking the Kool-Aide we should distinguish "our" hope from the reality. You can't win in big time college football w/o big time play at the QB position; and, we don't even know who will start at the QB position – we are less than 10 weeks away from game one. the second big reality is our helmets suck, and that is really hard Kool-Aide to swallow.
I think Gerardi can be a serviceable-to-good QB with a healthy Bernard Pierce in the backfield (or a Cherry and White version of Myron Myles). If Coyer or Granger beat him out, we will have an upgrade. I don't buy the Stewart hype.
TFF,last count we have 9 recruits w/verbal agreements for 2012…., not sure if that is really positive since none are three star rated. do you know how many we had last year at this time, and did any of them get playing time?
according to rivals, three committed by June 30 and non were three stars. One of them, two-star recruit Sean Daniels from Highland (N.J.), did see significant playing time at DE.
Will the Eagles organization allow Temple to paint the field for their game vs Penn State? I would love to See "T E M P L E" sprayed on to the grass of each end zone. Do you know if TU is prohibited from doing any thing like this?
yes they will because they did it in 2007.The better question is whether or not it will be a half-assed job like they did in 2007, with the word "Eagles" visible under a very light "Owls" in one end zone.If the the Eagles' grounds crew wants to do it right this time, all they need to do is hire the JFK Stadium folks who painted "TEMPLE" in the end zone of the Eagle Bank Bowl.
