We’ll have a complete preview on the Temple vs. Ohio game tomorrow (which is really the only important thing to me right now) but I thought I’d use Monday to share some good news.
Former two-term Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell came out solidly behind Temple’s all-sports inclusion into the Big East Conference in a very big way today with an appearance on WIP Sports Radio (94.1FM and 610AM).
The Villanova Law grad also lectured his “other” alma mater on obstruction and really ripped them a new asshole, for want of a better term.
Since all of the Big East presidents are in town for the next two days, we assume this has gotten around and hopefully they will take Rendell’s advice to heart.
Place cursor over the gray area and advance it forward to the 5:25 mark.

  1. While it's nice to see Rendell and Nutter backing the University I'd rather focus on winning Wednesday and making a run to capture the MAC East. Besides if WVU is successful with the law suit they filed to get out of the Big East next year is UConn, Louisville and Rutgers far behind

  2. Me, too. That's why I wrote in the first paragraph that's the only thing I care about right now.I want more than anything to leave the MAC with their trophy and a trip to a nice bowl, not one in Detroit or Boise.I'll take Frisco or even Mobile. If we win the MAC, we can pretty much dictate our destination so we need to win Wednesday night.Vegas thinks we will. So do I.

  3. To paraphrase Buddy Ryan (and I hate even paraphrasing a Ryan after what that big fat slob kid of his said last week), all Coyer does is score 80-yard touchdowns.I'm hearing all three QBs are getting split reps with the first team. That's significant only because Chester got 50 percent, Chris about 40 and Mike 10 before the BGSU game (those are guesstimates but I think rather close approximations). Now that would indicate to me Coyer should hang on Addazio's arm Wednesday night because the leash is going to be shorter than on a Chiwawa, err, small dog.Mike's got to get ready, too.

  4. I couldn’t agree more, win Wed, and then keep winning and the rest will take care of itself. I’m much more comfortable with Girardi being the first option off the bench, only because I’ve never seen Coyer throw a pass. With Mike we have a body of work from last season and the first 3 games this season. I’m not saying he’s better then Coyer, I’m just saying I’m more comfortable knowing what we’re getting.
