Mike, I just want to say thank you for your great contributions to Temple sports…particularly Temple Football… through your writing…..I have followed your blog religiously since I have been at Temple but have never posted a comment…I came in as a transfer student from NJ in January 2011….I only wish you also did a Temple basketball blog….I HOPE OUR ADMINISTRATION MAKES THE OBVIOUS CHOICE….I HOPE THEY TRULY UNDERSTAND WHAT THIS MEANS FOR TEMPLE UNIVERSITY, TEMPLE STUDENTS, TEMPLE ALUMNI, TEMPLE FANS, AND THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA. GO TEMPLE!!!!BACK TO THE BIG EASTOUR ADMINISTRATION SHOULD ACCEPT AND THE MEETING SHOULDN'T LAST LONGER THAN IT TAKES TO SAY THE TWO LETTERS O and KIf they do accept….I can finally stop posting stupid comments on ESPN article/blog comment sections. It's getting old explaining to clueless people how legitimate Temple really is at college sports. Big East members and other BCS schools alike will soon enough know Temple's athletic legitimacy once we are competing against them in the same conference and winning.

They have no idea. It's like the Maryland football team had no idea what was about to hit them in the pre-game warmups last year.That game would have been 45-0 if Daz didn't take 4 knees at the 1-inch line and yet we still have BE fans predicting a MD win over us at our place (where we've been 20-3 over the last 23 games) DESPITE the fact that 24 scholarship players quit Maryland.We know all these things.They don't.Father forgive them because they don't know what they do.Payback will be a beeactch.

Today should be a happy day and, from O'Connor's comments, he all but said we're in …. YET … yet … I am a Temple fan and used to bitter disappointment.We were the only 8-4 team who beat a BCS conference champion (BE) refused a bowl and that was a bitter day.Doug Gottlieb said we moved up to a deserving No. 2 seed in NCAA hoops a couple of years ago and we got a No. 5 and a game against a 24-1 No. 12.Another disappointing day.Then I read an article that will appear in today's Inky that says Temple should turn down the BE.Huh?Turn it down for exactly what?I hope the rest of the BOT doesn't read or put any credence in that guy's misguided and misinformed (he didn't even know it was an all-sports invite) opinion.On a day, the columnists should salute Temple's persistence, this is what we get?Temple fans deserve more.Hopefully, by 3:05 p.m. this afternoon they will get it.
