Temple Football Forever 
I didn’t like the tone of that guys article at all, but he does reference relevant facts. The owls took this game for the payday and the resume but I don’t think it’s going to end well. I really hope MR is able to develop the talent he has into a cohesive unit but the holes last year, especially in the defensive backfield were big enough to drive a truck through.
Add the fact we have a big question at QB going into notre dame stadium and we lost our stud kicker and I think this thing could get embarrassing. I hope the owls can shock the irish but for this year that means losing by less than twenty.
I think there was probably a lot of “I don’t think this will end too well” posts on the UConn, South Florida and Navy websites a couple of weeks before their games with Notre Dame, too. I hope this turns out the same way. When you think about it, UConn, USF and Navy have not really been better than Temple the last five years, but they found a way to get it done at ND. Granger was starter against ‘Cuse last year and at least Temple gave ‘Cuse a game (with a horrible head coach) for three quarters last year and WVA didn’t. Anything can happen in college football. I think this game is a 37-15, 31-14 type game. Nothing worse. Fortunately, our kids think they can win and that’s the most important thing to me. Pass rush, pass rush, pass rush. It’s much better this year.
Oh, and about the kicker. Brandon McManus was a great high school kicker, maybe one of the best in Pa. when he graduated from North Penn. But he wasn’t rated by some scouting services as the best kicker in the nation. The kid who replaces him was a first-team All-American. The punter who replaces him is great, too. We’ll be fine at kicker.
