you realize they are not getting kicked out? They are expanding their stadium and looking for other options that are more appealing to their basketball program in addition to their football team. Not mentioning it in your article tries to deceive the reader in that Umass is a terrible team. Although not great, they are projected to be a force in the MAC.
They stink …. lost 48-14 to a Colorado team that lost to Hawaii. Gave up 390 yards on the ground to that team, 62 points to ND. Playing them close was a horrible game for Temple.
U Mass is 0-3 and yes they are a terrible football team with an outstanding football mind calling their plays. I have always believed when playing teams like U. Mass and Charlotte, that you should win convincingly (14 points or more), get your young players some snaps and come out of the game(s) injury free.

can u read? 457 yards is the number of yards UMass allowed on the ground against Notre Dame. When you lose, 62-20, you forfeit any right to boast about stats. Garbage time stats. UMass stinks. The only reason our inexperienced coaches weren’t able to get 390 and 457 on UMass is because they abandoned the run far too early. Colorado and ND stayed the course and attacked UMass the way they should have been attacked.
Umass put up 450 yards of total offense on ND’s defense. (per espn) if that doesn’t makes sense I can’t even have an intelligent conversation with you.
I’m talking about the more yards they allowed on the ground than the total they put up offensively. If a team allows 62 points against anyone, they stink. If they allow 48 points to a team that lost to Hawaii, they stink. Period, end of story.
Here’s the only angle that matters visa ve UMass: 0-3, 62 points to Notre Dame, 48 points to a team worse than Hawaii. By comparison, none of the other angles matter. Let’s hope Temple was an aberration. I think it was.
I agree with that assessment. Mark Whipple is a good gameday coach short on players. Should have pounded the living daylights out of that team, like Colorado did. UMass is not NIU, Bowling Green or Toledo. Not even close.
