Well, Mike, you know I read the Intelligencer’s sports section today only to see Al Golden on the front page (along with pictures of local talent Anthony Ferla, Vaughn Charlton and Darryl Robison. It talked about his recruiting skills from the times at Virginia and how Charlie Weis wanted to hire him. It also talked about how they’re the number one ranked recruiting class last year in the MAC and how CSTV’s Tom Lemming has stated that Golden is the “guy to do it.” It was actually during my lunch break and two co- workers brought it to my attention. They first began to talk about the Louisville vs. Rutgers game and how the line was only 7.5 in favor of the Cards. This was followed by a conversation about how Rutgers is ranked 15th and how they are undefeated going into tonight’s game. Then it was followed by a surprising sentence that consisting off “You know, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Temple up there in the next few years.” Then he went on and was telling my other fellow co-worker about how Golden’s recruiting and the strategy of starting the most true freshman this year. It just good to see random strangers and analysts who know what’s going on and aren’t ignorant to the fact that Temple football has been given new life. It was a breath of fresh air.
You really think Temple can put up two touchdowns on PSU? Michigan got two. Ohio State got one. Northwestern got one. Purdue didn’t get any. Illinois didn’t get any. Wisconsin got one. I dunno man.You really think the Temple offense is on the same level as Michigan’s?MikeBlack Shoe Diaries
Not on the same level, but I think Adam DiMichele can put the ball in the end zone and Travis Shelton can put the ball in the end zone and Bruce Francis can put the ball in the end zone and Timmy Brown can do the same.I’m sticking with the two touchdowns.George DeLeone will have to have a rolling pocket with DiMichele for this to happen.Penn State 28, Temple 14
