I’d rather beat them than Beta them, but appreciate the thoughts from our fellow state institution.
Very happy with the win tonight. Not thrilled with the way they played, but happy nonetheless. Army, bless their souls, is horrible. They never gave themselves a chance to win. Teams with that little talent have no business running the option offense. Especially if they can’t stop anyone and shoot themselves in the foot with turnovers. Temple puts it all together, they win by 45, 50 pts. Again, thrilled to be 1-0. However, I do not feel I got an accurate view of what the Owls are capable of tonight, as their opponent could not compete. Are my expectations too high? Am I being overly critical? Possibly, but I feel we could have played MUCH better than we did, and weren’t given enough of a quality opponent with which to judge this team. -AVL ’98
Teams with very little talent have no business being on the same field with the Owls. We are about 50 points better than Hofstra and that does not bode well for the Huskies.
Army is so much better than Hofstra it is not even funny.
