Hey Mike. How you doing?Where did you see a 4 1/2 point spread? On betus.com (where I usually bet) the line has held steady at TU +3. I'd love to get the extra 1 1/2.Also, you think a win @NIU is enough to secure us a spot in the top 25? (I'm leaning towards "no", but I know of quite a few people who are thinking otherwise.)
I wish I knew your first name. Good handle, though.I always get my spreads from the Philadelphia Daily News. That's where the line has moved up each day. Didn't check it today, but I don't think it's going to stay at 4 (Wednesday). There's got to be some Temple money getting it down to 3, where I think it will rest.Does a win over NIU get us into the top 25?That's a negative.But we have to keep winning to have a chance three or four weeks down the line.What's more important to us is UConn.If UConn AND us run the table, there's no doubt in my mind both of us finish in the top 20.It would also be nice if Penn State goes on a nice little run, but the key is UConn.So go Huskies against Rutrats.And go Owls against Huskies.

If we beat NIU and BG, we will be 6-1, not 8-1.The UConn loss to Rutgers was a killer.I don't see us moving into the top 25 until the 9-1 or 10-1 weeks, if they ever get here.I'm not optimistic about NIU because I don't think BP plays.If BP plays and they don't dick with him (pull him in and out of the game, like the first two games), Temple wins by 10.If they dick with BP again, he won't be able to get into a rhythm and this will go down to the end.If BP doesn't play at all, we're staring at (the possibility of) a loss.BP opens up the whole offense.This team is better than Army and the Owls should approach the game with that mindset.
