Damn… thats a scary thought
Mike, what do u think of ohio storming the field after the game?Shud we do in kind when we beat them 42-7 next year, or act like weve won a MAC east game before?
I'm OK with anything that enhances the college experience. If these kids thought it was big enough to do it, go right ahead.Heck, I've been waiting to tear down the goal posts myself after beating PSU but that didn't happen this year.So close.Soooooclose.
I was wondering if you were gonna mention the Sandusky thing. I had no clue he was considered back in '88, that is just…just an awful thought. I'll take being the joke of college football for a decade or more, any day of the week, over having Temple associated with this. There were lots of rumors about potential NCAA punishments but, honestly, it doesn't seem fair to punish students/fans/athletes. PSU and the football program especially is gonna suffer hard for this as it is. In unrelated news, please tell me we're not looking at a repeat of last year. Army and Kent State are winnable, but…tomorrow…I just keep having nightmares about #7 out on the field behind the center.
Hi. I'm a parent of two Penn State students. I can tell you first hand, the whole thing just stinks. College was some of the best years of my life. It's been a lot of heartache for anyone attending Penn State these days. I am writing because I want to clear up one thing in your article. I don't know ANYBODY, not one person, "who thought Paterno had been considered God by some in then Happy Valley." He was human like the rest of us, warts and all. Do I think he knew about Sandusky? Absolutely not. I won't go into the myriad of reason I think he has been framed; most people won't read it anyway. Let's just say it wasn't who Paterno was. But by no means do I think he was a God. Google the images for the words college football fans. Penn State is no different than any other school in the United States. Do people who go there love it more than people who go to Temple feel about Temple? Maybe, but I don’t know. Up until this year it was pretty much a perfect college experience. I think that is why people hate PSU so much actually. And even though I personally had nothing to do with it, you're welcome for not sending Sandusky there. Guess it was meant to be Penn State's cross to bear. So good luck to you guys this year. I was not much of a football fan…but one good thing is happening as a result of this. People, like me, who never really cared about football, are all of a sudden are buying tickets because I want to support the players. Whatever happens in Beaver Stadium this year, it should be a lot of fun.
