imho the secondary logo on the collar was a huge waste of precious resources.., that logo is too complicated.
Also, the “cherry” on the new uniform appears to be a lighter shade of the official school cherry hex code, #9D2235.., dunno why?

No helmet will ever meet the TEMPLE on the sides standard. Perhaps a compromise next year, ][EMPLE
I forgot about the secondary logo. The school in general should have one logo. To me, the logo for the football program has always been Temple. Represent both on the helmet.
White helmets are ugly generally, including the Penn State ones. 🙂
Bag the white helmets and cherry pants. In the past, from a distance, one couldn’t tell if you were watching Temple or Alabama regardless of white or cherry/crimson tops. Not bad company to be confused with.
I always didn’t understand the bars on the pants, while traditional, but have for a long time wondered why they weren’t diamonds – finally we have diamonds on all the uni parts! The emphasis of diamonds makes sense. I like Temple’s T – maybe other schools have a T but ours is unique enough to differentiate from the others , but Temple on one side and the T on the other would be good too.
We Owl fans all know the Temple T is distinctive but if I had a dollar for every drunk non-Temple person in a bar who looked at the TV screen and asked what team was up there and guessed the wrong one, I could buy a lot of drinks. Spelling out the school name on at least one side of the helmet would clear up any confusion.

Like you, my passion lies with the Temple Football tradition, as you noted from the quotations from Coach Hardin and Coach Golden. My personal uniform issue is the “Cherry”. As Coach Hardin stated, the letter T is not distinctive through college football, TEMPLE is. Moreso, the Cherry and White uniforms, with the checkered pants leg, and Diamonds where distinctive to the Temple brand. When Temple played against a “Red and White” team, we were clearly distinctive. Why we have gone to a red uniform remains a question, which seems to be aimed toward the uniform manufacturer. I remember Coach Golden explaining to me at the Soth Philly Tap Room, prior to the weekly radio program, that Coach Golden chose Addias solely because they would embrace the Cherry color for the uniforms and merchandising of the Temple brand. I guess the “Fight, Fight, Fight for the Cherry and the White” will be only a nostalgic memory.
I hope this reveal means there are only two uniforms “kind of” Cherry (although I agree it looks too much like red) and White (which is hard to get wrong). No more grays and blacks but that wasn’t made clear.
