Temple Football Forever 
Offense was a bit sluggish in the first half which I believe can be partially attributed to conservative play calling. Outside of the Hunter Smith Touchdown the running game was very ineffective. But they made plays when they needed to – and the defense did a great job stopping one of the best rushing attacks in FBS. Hopefully next week we can fill the stands a bit more for homecoming, it was a bit sad to see the stands as empty as they were. Go owls!
Hunter Smith has always been that guy who hits a couple of singles, maybe a double, before he hits a home run. He was that way at UL-Monroe and he’s showing signs of that at Temple (home runs against Howard and UTSA). Jay Ducker, on the other hand, is a doubles and high-average hitter. Hunter would have scored on that 55-yard Ducker run at UMass. Jay got caught from behind. You need both types and Temple has that now.
Upset Navy? The D needs to learn to defend the triple option this week and the O just needs to perform out of the gate. Could be an upset. Great necessary win yesterday.
I love the fact that in the bye week, Temple worked on both Navy and UTSA. That might have hurt the UTSA game a little bit, but it bodes well for the Navy game as you need more than a full week to prepare for that.
Maybe this staff knows how to prep a defense for the option.
